Stancer wants to break the codes of the payment world

Launched last September, Stancer, a subsidiary of the Iliad group, the parent company of Free, pursues its objective of simplifying the lives of merchants, the self-employed and small businesses in the field of payment, whether it is made physically in store or in line.

After offering its own payment terminal, the fintech is launching an application that allows professionals to cash in their customers without an e-commerce site or payment terminal. All he has to do is send them a payment link via SMS, email or social media.

The customer clicks on the link and enters his credit card numbers to validate the payment. The merchant is then notified of the payment. The Stancer application can also generate a QR code to scan for this time to make the payment on site or in store.

From this application, the merchant can then access the list of payments made, claim outstanding payments and, more generally, follow his activity from his dashboard. Developed internally, the solution is currently only available on iPhone (iOS environment).

An online store based on PrestaShop

In addition, Stancer is launching an online store service, “ without subscription and without commitment » for craftsmen and merchants without a merchant site. The professional first creates an account on the Stancer site by entering his company name or his Siret number.

In a few minutes, the merchant can create his e-commerce site, with the associated payment module. He can personalize his shop, add products or services and cash his customers online. To finalize the subscription, he will nevertheless have to provide a certain amount of information on the company, supporting documents and his bank details.

To offer this service, Stancer relies on PrestaShop, an open source web platform, leader in e-commerce in Europe and Latin America. If the creation of an online store is free, the service provider is remunerated on transactions with a fixed commission and a variable commission indexed to the amount of the transaction.

Automate subscription management

Last novelty, Stancer offers a subscription management solution for professionals who invoice service subscription services with recurring payments. By automating this management, the merchant saves time, reduces the risk of manual errors and improves his business cash flow thanks to regular and predictable payments, advances the fintech.

This service comes in the form of an API (programming interface) and will soon be available from the Stancer customer area. Created in 2018, Stancer is a payment institution, approved by the ACPR (Prudential Control and Resolution Authority). It currently employs some 35 people.
