Stanislas Nordey extended once again for the interim at the head of the National Theater of Strasbourg

The actor and director completed his second term in October. In the absence of a successor designated by the government, it is extended until the summer.

Stanislas Nordey will remain at the head of the National Theater of Strasbourg (TNS) until the summer, ensuring the interim management of the institution pending the appointment of a successor, we learned on Friday . According to an October 13 decision published in the official bulletin of the Ministry of Culture, “the interim directorship of the Théâtre national de Strasbourg is entrusted to Mr. Stanislas Nordey, as of October 28, 2022“.

I have been asked to be present until August 31“, clarified to AFP Stanislas Nordey, who will therefore be responsible for establishing the programming for the start of the 2023-2024 season before handing over to the new management once an appointment has taken place. Stanislas Nordey was appointed in 2014 at the head of the TNS, the only national theater located in the region.

He had made it known for a long time that he was not a candidate for a third term, while his second ended at the end of October. But the lack of appointment of a successor by the Ministry of Culture during the electoral period had already led to the announcement in mid-May of its extension until December 31.
