After three months spent alongside Star Academy students, an emblematic face of TF1 telecrochet was excluded from the tour which begins in a few days. Although very popular with the students, this teacher will not follow them on the roads of France and Belgium.
Season 11 of Star Academy left its mark. After a timid return in 2022 which had dedicated Anisha Jo, the telecrochet of the front page met, this year, a craze worthy of the first editions, at the time of Jenifer or Nolwenn Leroy. 20 years after the coronation of Grégory Lemarchal, the Star Academy has taken on a new lease of life. Pierre Garnier, the big winner of this season, has already released his first single Cewho we were and it’s a hit! The tour is sold out on many dates and the academicians were in great demand as soon as they left the castle of Dammarie-Les-Lys. It is clear that success is there. If she was able to quickly forget her predecessor Yanis Marshall, Malika Benjelloun will not participate in the tour of Pierre, Julien, Héléna, Axel, Lénie, Djebril and Candice. The dance teacher, who displayed her dynamism and good humor throughout the adventure of this eleventh class, will not perform the choreographies for the tour. At 44, the dancer, born in Belgium to an Italian mother and a Moroccan father, must bow out and leave his place to another hip-hop lover: Jerky Jessy. On Instagramthe main interested party made the announcement himself. “New Year!! New Adventure!!”he wrote proudly. “I can officially announce that I will be the new choreographer for the 2024 Star Academy tour […] Can’t wait to make all the candidates you love dance and have fun on tour with you“, he added.

At 33 years old, Jerky Jessy already has a great track record to his credit. This Guadeloupean dancer performed the choreographies of Kendji Girac and Shy’m. Last June, he accompanied Vitaa on stage at the music festival. He has also served as a judge for the largest hip-hop dance competition, the World of Dance.
