A star is born. After weeks of hard work at the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys, Pierre finally won the victory of the 11th season of the star Academy (TF1) against Julien, Saturday February 3. As proof, during this prestigious evening, he electrified the stage of the legendary studio 217 in Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis) with his personal composition entitled “What we were”.
Indeed, for this last evening alongside Nikos Aliagas, the faculty and the public, the two finalists had carte blanche to propose the song of their choice. Pierre, for whom everything seems to have been successful since the beginning of the adventure, made the bold bet of performing a song from his own repertoire: “What we were”. While he was to share a duet with Dadju, the candidate with such a particular tone was invited by the famous rapper to perform his own song. “In fact, I know you spent a week rehearsing Complicated, but sometimes i lie. I want to please myself. Today, I don’t want us to sing Dadju. I want us to sing about Pierre! I know that Uncle Nikos doesn’t like live unexpected events like that…”, explained the interpreter of “Reine”. Neither one nor two, Pierre grabbed his guitar to start singing and was quickly joined on stage by Patrick Bruel, Nikos Aliagas, Julien and the eleven other students of the class of 2023 to perform this song in chorus in the future promising. Dadju seduced by Pierre’s composition
Pierre thus captivated his classmates, his teachers and the viewers with “What we were”. For his part, Nikos Aliagas did not fail to share his enthusiasm after this timeless moment: “Gorgeous ! So there… So there… Exceptional. I tell you everything: we were taken by surprisewe didn’t know what was going to happen.” Before the said bonus, during his visit to the castle, Dadju had also been automatically charmed by the creation of Héléna’s great friend: “Your song is beautiful, she is terrible! I really like him. You have a hit there! You have a single”, he assured her. A comment that touched the 21-year-old student’s heart: “This is what I would like to bring. Something American, but in French, because singing in English yes, but writing in English is complicated. The basic French variety, I wasn’t a big fan, I didn’t listen to it at all, but I looked into it a little and I would like to make a mix of all that.” And his interlocutor reassures him: “You can make a mix. There have been some big French pop artists who have made incredible sounds that are often linked to pop. The one who often did this was Jean-Jacques Goldman. I think there’s a bit of that in what you made me listen to there. I think you’re on a good balance.”
