Friday, October 21, 2022, Alexia Laroche-Joubert was invited to the show Chez Jordan, for Télé-Loisirs. Following the return of Star Academy, on TF1, the producer explained why she did not wish to resume her role as director.

If fans of the show remember dance lessons from Kamel Ouali, or singing lessons from Armande Altaï, they also remember Alexia Laroche-Joubert, director of the show in 2001, 2002, 2005 , 2006 and 2007! If the Star Academy made its comeback on Saturday October 15, 2022, the young woman was an absent subscriber. And for good reason, it is Michael Goldman which took its place within the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys. First explaining why she wasn’t producing Star Academy, she told Jordan de Luxe: “It’s because the programs belong to the production companies, they don’t belong to me, so it’s not because you created them that they belong to you, they still belong to Endemol.Claiming to have been contacted to be director again, the producer explained: “Mathieu Vergne, who produces with Jean-Louis Blot, asked me the question, I said to him: ‘Already, it’s nice to ask me that. He said to me: ‘Would you like to be the director?’ I said to him: ‘I will think about it’, I called him back after two or three days, I said to him: ‘I think it’s good that it’s someone else.’“
Alexia Laroche-Joubert: “It was this dual role that interested me”
In full disclosure, the producer said, “I think that I knew something that interested me because I was producing it too. I wasn’t just the director, I was also a producer. It was this dual role that interested me. And I still have a lot of things to do, and it takes a lot of time.“Ensuring that she has always had good feedback from the public, Alexia Laroche-Joubert added:”People were super nice (…) I have never experienced verbal aggression and I always say, I always have the same laptop, I have never been harassed.“
