Fans are eagerly waiting for “Star Trek: Discovery” season 5. Today there is finally big news, because the first take has been taken, the first day of shooting is complete. That’s right, the shooting of the fifth season of “Star Trek: Discovery” has finally started.
Showrunner Michelle Paradise announced this on Twitter and shared a picture from the set. However, you only see orange hats because the series maker does not want to reveal any spoilers for the new episodes.
She jokingly writes, “Day 1 of ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Season 5! For those asking about spoilers, I’m happy to announce that the orange cone is indeed making a return… and it’s bringing its mini cones with it. They have did a great job standing quietly. I was able to take a few snaps. (sshhhh… don’t tell…).”
An official start date has not yet been set. For a long time we assumed that “Star Trek: Discovery” season 5 would start in winter 2022, but since shooting has only just started, we are more likely to assume spring or summer 2023. You can watch Star Trek: Strange New Worlds while you wait.
