Star Trek Picard Season 2: Episode 1 brings back two of Picard’s worst enemies!

• Star Trek: Picard is back with new episodes. In the season two premiere, Jean-Luc meets an old acquaintance.
• But there are not only warm reunions. The Borg and Q are back as well.
• The second season of “Star Trek: Picard” runs parallel to the fourth season of “Star Trek: Discovery”.

After a long wait, Patrick Stewart is finally back in the vastness of the galaxy with Season 2 of “Star Trek: Picard”! Parallel to the new episode of “Star Trek: Discovery” Season 4, the season premiere of “Star Trek: Picard” has now started streaming on Amazon Prime Video and brings some familiar faces with it.

First, the different characters are “collected”. Back at his vineyard in France, Picard (Stewart) wonders why he’s been single all his life and never married. He meets his old friend Guinan (Whoopi Goldberg) and they talk about Picard’s fear of dealing with his own feelings.

Also, Picard is back with Starfleet, specifically Starfleet Academy. Elnor (Evan Evagora) is the first Romulan to study at the Academy in a long time. Raffi (Michelle Hurd) serves as a commander on the same ship as Elnor.

Captain Rios (Santiago Cabrera) has given his spaceship, the La Sirena, to Seven (Jeri Ryan), who uses it to hunt down criminals. He himself has become Starfleet Captain and leads the USS Stargazer as Captain.

Soji (Isa Briones) is with her andoid friends, away from the rest of the crew from season one, because Dr. Jurati (Alison Pill) boards Captain Rios’ Stargazer. Soon Picard also comes aboard the Stargazer, because it hits the Borg.

Almost the entire Starfleet gathers to face the new threat. The Borg insist they want peace, but their actions suggest otherwise. Picard orders the onboard computer to self-destruct. The spaceship explodes and suddenly Picard finds himself back in his house.

Things are different there, however, and suddenly Q (John De Lancie) enters the scene. What has he done? He brought Picard to the end of the path he never took. In the next week we will surely find out what he means with this vague statement.

Unlike Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard is really easy to watch on stream. The new episodes always appear in the stream one day after the US start on Amazon Prime Video. Other streaming providers such as Netflix do not have the series in their program.
