Early in the season, Dr. Jurati (Alison Pill) bonded with the Borg Queen and became partially assimilated. This is for Dr. Jurati very dangerous, but it turned out that the Borg Queen underestimated her and Jurati ended up tricking the Borg Queen. This enabled Jurati to steal important information from the Borg queen.
Then, in the latest episode of “Star Trek: Picard” Season 2, the unthinkable happened, the Borg Queen was apparently shot, but was able to transfer her spirit to Jurati and take control of her. But is Jurati really at the mercy of the Borg queen?
Jurati has proven her ability to outsmart the oh-so-smart Borg Queen before, and she certainly has an ace up her sleeve. And if not? Even if Jurati is a prisoner of the Borg Queen for now, her subconscious is still there and now more able than ever to get information from the Borg Queen.
Thus, Picard and company could help her to free herself from the Borg queen and finally have the trump card in hand after this hardship. For Agnes will be dissimilarized with information from the Borg collective that will ensure the downfall of the Borg Queen.
Before Q (John de Lancie) provided a new timeline in the first episode, Picard had to destroy his own ship to avoid assimilation. If the timeline is fixed at the end of the season, Q could send him and his crew back to the correct timeline minutes before self-destructing, giving Picard and Jurati time to find another way of solving the problem.
This time, they have knowledge they didn’t have before, and Jurati is able to outwit the Borg Queen. The Borg Queen’s arrogance in underestimating Jurati will be her death sentence. And on top of that, it would fulfill Q star John de Lancie’s promise that Q actually only wants to help Picard.
The next episode awaits us on April 8, 2022 in the stream on Amazon Prime Video and we will find out how the most notorious villain in the “Star Trek” universe will continue. We also list all of the new Star Trek releases that will follow Picard Season 2.
