With the launch of Star Trek: Picard Season 3 on Amazon Prime Video and Paramount+, the series has now entered the home straight. Star Trek: Picard ends with Season 3. Showrunner Terry Matalas probably took this as an opportunity to immortalize himself again in the series with a small Easter Egg.
In the season premiere, Raffi is undercover investigating musicians (Michelle Hurd) for Starfleet Intelligence. She hangs around on the planet M’Talas Prime. It might be obvious, but the pronunciation of “M’Talas” is the same as the pronunciation of showrunner Terry Matalas’ name.
Such an obvious hint that was somehow ingeniously woven in, we think. Certainly more Easter Eggs like this await us in “Star Trek: Picard”. The next episode will be released on February 24, 2023 in the Amazon Prime Video and Paramount+ New Releases program.
