After the end of “Star Trek: Picard” Season 2, Picard (Patrick Stewart), Raffi (Michelle Hurd) and Seven (Jeri Ryan) are back in the year 2401. There, the Borg join the Federation and warn of a new threat, emanating from a transwarp network.

This will likely be important in Season 3 of Star Trek: Picard. We will also find out how things will continue with Jean-Luc and Laris (Orla Brady) after the two lovers have found each other. In the third season there should be a reunion with the crew from “Starship Enterprise – The Next Century”.

In what capacity that will be is unclear. With Brent Spiner confirmed but certainly not returning as Data, there’s a possibility he could be the rogue Dr. Adam Soong could return.

Alison Pill and Santiago Cabrera will no longer be there as Jurati and Rios in Season 3 of Star Trek: Picard. John de Lancie as Q will also not return in the new season.

Production: Is “Star Trek: Picard” season 3 over?

For Patrick Stewart, the “Star Trek” section of his life seems to be over for good. The shooting of “Star Trek: Picard” Season 3 has been completed and according to their own statements, Season 3 is already the end of the series.

It’s possible that the series was intended to be a brief Picard return from the start, but fans would surely appreciate another Patrick Stewart reunion. Maybe there’s still a place for him in the promising “Star Trek” future!
