To Game Awards 2021, Dramatic Labs unveiled its first project, the narrative adventure game Star Trek: Resurgence. It will be an experience in the spirit of those of Telltale Games and for good reason, the team is led by former studio director Kevin Bruner and some of his comrades at the time.
It will take place in 2380, after the events of The Next Generationmaking us follow the officer Jara Rydek and the engineer Carter Diazembedded in theUSS Resolute to investigate an emerging conflict between two alien civilizations. It was expected for 2022 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but even if its development is progressing well, it has been decided to postpone it to April 2023 to finish it better.
The Dramatic Labs team would like to keep you updated on the progress of Star Trek: Resurgence.
Production progressed steadily all summer, but we made the difficult decision to move our release date beyond 2022 in order to give the game a final finishing coat and create a truly immersive Star Trek experience.
We plan to release Star Trek: Resurgence in April 2023 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
Our love and admiration for Star Trek contributed to this decision. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, and it continues to be an exciting project for everyone here. We are incredibly grateful – and thrilled – to be able to work in a world that means so much to so many people.
We can’t wait for you to see it all, and we can’t wait to take you on an adventure unlike any previous Star Trek game. In the meantime, here are some of our latest achievements.
