The new sci-fi series “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” is bursting with lovable characters who enrich the “Star Trek” universe. It’s certainly difficult for many fans to find their favourite, but the unofficial decision was made on the Internet and the winner is: Pike’s hairstyle, affectionately known as “Pike’s Peak”.

“Pike’s Peak” can be translated to “Pike’s Summit”, which is due to the height of his quiff, which many viewers compare to the famous Curtis quiff that made rock star Elvis Presley famous worldwide. There is even one own Twitter account for Pike’s hairstyle.

In addition to the Elvis comparison, Pike’s hairstyle is also compared to that of the cartoon character Johnny Bravo from the series of the same name. A picture of Pike being drawn in the style of Johnny Bravo was shared on Twitter.

Danny Epperson, who is not only a “Star Trek” fan but also works in the film industry, founded the fan account “Captain Pike’s Hair” on Twitter and justifies his decision to the US magazine Heavy. as follows:

In addition to the humorous approach, as a fan having a little fun with “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds”, the main actor of the series, Anson Mount, and his hairstyle, Epperson also tries to interpret the different hairstyles in the episodes. For many, Pike’s hairstyle seems to grow a few centimeters higher with each episode…

But Epperson sees a different approach: “It depends on the story. We’ve already seen that. His hair was a little gelled up, smart and chic when he gave the dinner in his quarters. But when he’s on a Foreign mission goes, then they sit askew.”

In the sixth episode, Pike’s hair was less wavy and more straight and serious as he goes on his away mission and attends a ceremony with an old lover. “[Die Frisur] was higher, which means he wants to put on a little bit,” explains Epperson.
