“Star Trek”: Tele 5 currently has these 5 series in its program – 2 start today

STAR TREK: DISCOVERY

Little by little, Tele 5 is becoming the number one address for Trekkies on German free TV. As of today, the private broadcaster has a total of five “Star Trek” franchises in its program at the same time.

  • Tele 5 is currently showing “Star Trek: Discovery” as a free TV premiere.
  • There are also four other franchises – including the original series and Deep Space Nine.
  • Two more series will be added from this Tuesday.

The Trekkie heart rejoices at the sight of so many “Star Trek” series on free TV. Starting today, a total of five series from the extremely well-running “Star Wars” franchise will be shown in parallel in the Tele 5 program.

“Star Trek: Discovery” and the original series were joined by “Deep Space Nine” last Tuesday. Today follows the double start of “Star Trek: Starship Voyager” and “Starship Enterprise – The Next Century”. Here is an overview of the series and when they can be seen:

Voyager

Voyager’s odyssey begins today at 6:05 p.m. with the first episode “Caretaker”. Part two of the opening episode can be seen tomorrow at 6:10 p.m. on Tele 5. From then on, it will stay with this slot for the time being and the journey of Captain Janeway and her across the Delta Quadrant can begin.

The next century

Also today starts “Starship Enterprise – The Next Century”. Sir Patrick Stewart makes himself comfortable as Jean-Luc Picard in the 7:10 p.m. time slot. The adventures of him, Data, Commander Riker and Co., like those of Voyager, can be seen on Tele 5 every Monday to Friday. In its media library, the broadcaster also offers the option of accessing the individual episodes of all “Star Trek” series free of charge for a period of one week after the broadcast.

Deep Space Nine

The series about the space station near a wormhole in the Gamma Quadrants started last week on Tele 5. The regular slot for Commander Sisko (later Captain of the Defiant), Dax and Quark from “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” is Monday through Friday afternoons at 4:10 p.m.

“Star Trek: Discovery”

The latest of the five series has been on Tele 5 since mid-March. “Star Trek: Discovery” runs on Mondays at 8:15 p.m. on Tele 5. The episodes of the first season are set shortly before the events of “Spaceship Enterprise” and mainly revolve around a war with the Klingons.

The “Discovery” episodes are available on demand at Tele 5 – like the others – as a catch-up. The episodes are also available online on Pluto TV. There you have already arrived in the (current) 4th season.

“Star Trek”

Last but not least, the original series: The franchise around Spock, Pille, Scotty and Captain Kirk, which runs in Germany under the title “Star Trek: Raumschiff Enterprise”, always runs after “Discovery”, on Mondays at 9:10 p.m. in double episodes. Incidentally, “Star Trek” Monday is also topped by “Battlestar Galactica”, also always in double editions, from 11:10 p.m.

With “Star Trek: Picard”, another franchise will be coming to Tele 5 in the course of the year. However, this is only to be expected in the second half of the year. It is therefore not yet certain whether all other five series will still be running. Nevertheless, Tele 5 should have provided enough “Star Trek” material for the time being.
