Even discord and wars did not fit into his vision of a future. No wonder that Gene Roddenberry’s son Rod also has his problems with “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”, because the series is set in a war scenario. Nevertheless, he feels the series as “Star Trek”.

In an interview with the US magazine Looper, Rod Roddenberry explains: “I think it is ‘Star Trek’ because all that ends up making us look at things from a different perspective is ‘Star Trek’ how it does things right.”

At the end of the day, Star Trek is a legacy that grows with the times and adapts to the zeitgeist. The core values ​​are still there.
