Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an excellent adaptation of the saga imagined by George Lucas. There is no doubt: this sequel Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order continues the adventure of Cal Kestis by betting first on the narration. There’s some truly epic combat in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
The events of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are between films 3 and 4. In this dark period, the Empire is all-powerful and the Jedi Order no longer exists. Its representatives were decimated by order of the Emperor. Therefore, an iconic character like Darth Vader exists in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. We also meet him at the end of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderwhich takes place five years before.
Nevertheless, this first meeting between the hero Cal Kestis and the Sith Lord is quickly dispatched: unable to compete, the padawan must flee absolutely. This results in a thrilling chase sequence. It bears witness to the power of Darth Vader, capable of destroying everything in his path just by lifting a finger. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor goes much further in portraying the villain. This time, we will have to fight him. But with a twist: it’s not with Cal that we should try to defeat him.
In one of the many chapters of the game, we take on the role of Cere, a former Jedi who lends a hand to Cal Kestis in order to sound the rebellion against the Empire (in Fallen Order, she is the mentor). In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, she takes care of the Passage, an underground network that helps persecuted people to hide. Hidden on the planet Jedha, he will eventually be discovered by the Empire, hence the little visit from Darth Vader.
Cere has a personal history with Darth Vader, as her padawan became one of the Sith’s minions before succumbing to his wrath.
