Star Wars Jedi Survivor, the long-awaited sequel to the excellent Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order released in 2019, could well land on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC before the end of March 2023. hinted at EA during the presentation of its latest fiscal results.
While EA has just announced a partnership with Marvel for the production of three new games, the American publisher has just published its financial statement for the second quarter of fiscal year 2022-2023. The opportunity for the company to take stock of its performance but also to talk to its investors about upcoming releases.
And precisely, EA assured that a “major intellectual property”, or a license if you prefer, must land before March 31, 2023, i.e. the end of the 4th quarter of the 2022-2023 fiscal year. EA reserves the right to say more about this later. Nevertheless, Star Wars Jedi Survivor is the only game with no real release date (apart from a simple 2023) formalized by EA at the time of writing these lines.
The new Need For Speed Unbound is due to arrive this December 2, 2022 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, while dead space remake will terrorize players at the start of the year, more precisely on January 27, 2023, on consoles and PC here again.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor could land in March 2023
Recall that EA confirmed with LucasFilm in January 2022 the development of three new Star Wars titles led by the Respawn Entertainment studio, the fathers of Jedi Fallen Order, ofApex Legends and games titanfall. For now and as said above, only Jedi Survivor had the right to formalization in good and due form, with a trailer in support.
Another point that leads us to think that this mystery game is none other than Star Wars Jedi Survivor, a recent Playstation database leak indicated that the game would launch in March 2023. “The nature of marketing in our industry has changed significantly over the past five to six years,” said EA CEO Andrew Wilson, to justify EA’s choice not to reveal the identity of this major AI scheduled for next spring.
But in any case, we may have an answer to this question when The Game Awards 2023 ceremonyto be held in Los Angeles this December 8, 2023. The event has always been an opportunity for industry players to reveal upcoming games. It’s hard to imagine EA not taking advantage of the conference to unveil with great fanfare the release date of Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
