Star Wars: Liam Neeson cried when he found Ewan McGregor for Obi-Wan Kenobi

Liam Neeson has revealed that his reunion with Ewan McGregor on the set of the Star Wars series “Obi-Wan Kenobi” moved him to tears.

Twenty-five years after the filming of The Phantom Menace (Star Wars – Episode I), Ewan McGregor and Liam Neeson met during a scene from the Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi series, available on Disney +.

The two actors have thus returned to the role of Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn – appearing in the guise of a Force specter – and his former apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi, still haunted by his recent confrontation with his padawan Anakin Skywalker , who became Darth Vader.

A quarter of a century later, Liam Neeson revealed that his reunion with Ewan McGregor was emotionally charged, to the point of having made the two men cry on the set of the series, during the rehearsals which preceded the filming of the scene.

Remember that the Irish actor will not be limited to this single wink appearance, since he also participated in the dubbing of the animated series Tales of the Jedi (October 26 on Disney +), devoted to the past of several Jedi icons including Qui-Gon Jinn.

The Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi series can be found now in full and exclusively on the Disney+ platform.
