The next big Star Wars series, which bears the sweet name of The Acolyte, finally reveals a first trailer. The least we can say is that it makes you want it.
Star Wars: The Acolyte immerses viewers in a never-before-explored era in the history of the Star Wars saga: the end of the High Republic era. This period, set several centuries before the events of The Phantom Menace, was known as a golden age for the Jedi, a time of peace and prosperity in the galaxy. However, the series promises to reveal the darkness that lies within, exploring the rise of the dark side and the mysteries that will lead to the decline of the Republic.

As we’ve explained, the series highlights a little-explored period in Star Wars history, giving fans a deep dive into the mysteries and political intrigue that preceded the events of the main films. The creator, Leslye Headland, known for her innovative approach and her ability to create stories, is preparing to offer us some new blood for the saga.
Casting-wise, The Acolyte promises to be a melting pot of talent with Amandla Stenberg in the lead, accompanied by Lee Jung-jae and Dafne Keen. As a reminder, Amandla Stenberg made her name in The Hunger Games and continued to impress in The Hate U Give. Lee Jung-jae, Korean star, is recognized for his leading role in Squid Game. Star Wars: The Acolyte is scheduled for release on June 4, 2024. Expectations are high for this new addition to the SW franchise. With its unique setting, intriguing characters and promising story, Star Wars: The Acolyte is shaping up to be a must-see series. And then you have to admit, it’s rather very pretty.
