Chapter 20 of The Mandalorian is titled The Foundling. It’s obviously about Grogu and his rescue from Order 66, but it’s also about Bo-Katan and the storyline of her rescuing a foundling. Both storylines will definitely be important in the further course of “The Mandalorian” Season 3. We explain to you the end of the fourth episode!

Bo-Katan & the Mythosaur

At the end of the episode, Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) tells the blacksmith (Emily Swallow) that she saw a mythosaur in the waters beneath the mines of Mandalore. The blacksmith is certain that rituals such as bathing in the living waters can lead to visions. This is “the way”.

Does this throw off Bo-Katan, who tells about her sighting for the first time? At first she wasn’t sure herself if she had seen a mythosaur. But vision or not, one thing is certain: Bo-Katan finds new hope!

She once wanted to be the leader of Mandalore again, but by the start of Season 3, all her followers have deserted her. Now she has a clan again, and with the symbol of the mythosaur as the heraldic animal of all Mandalorians, she has found meaning for herself again. More on that later!

Grogus rescued by Kelleran Beq

The biggest event of the new “The Mandalorian” episode was definitely Grogus’ flashback to Order 66. Finally, it is explained how he survived the Jedi genocide and which Jedi master saved him. It’s Kelleran Beq, portrayed by Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best.

For The Mandalorian, the flashback scene is immensely long and we see a thrilling chase through Coruscant. It is also hinted that we will learn more about Kelleran and Grogu’s relationship and life in exile. We will the two separated?

Will Kelleran be part of the path we saw in Obi-Wan Kenobi? It is unclear whether we will still get answers to these questions in “The Mandalorian”. It’s also possible that we’ll see Ahmed Best and Grogu again in a spin-off or another series. Like “Star Wars: The Bad Batch”.

A new cult for Grogu

Grogu was in the Jedi and apparently had a father figure in Kelleran Beq. Now he is in the next cult and is learning customs and fighting techniques. With a new father figure. Being pushed into the Mandalorian role could reopen old scars.

So “The Foundling” is already preparing episode 5!

At the end of the episode, Bo-Katan has achieved success as leader of the rescue squad for Ragnar. In her new clan, the Children of the Watch, she is held in high esteem by rescuing a foundling. She’s also bringing three bird-like foundlings with her, which definitely hints that the Mandalorians will be able to ride flying beasts in the future.

For Bo-Katan, however, the mount will likely become the Mythosaur. With her new crest, standing in the clan, and her desire to become the new Mand’alore, things could get exciting in the upcoming episodes.

We already know from the animated series that Bo-Katan is very consistent in pursuing her goals. Will she betray Mando and use the Watch’s children to her advantage, or will she learn to work with them? Both are possible.

However, in order to become a Mand’alore, she must still win the darksaber in a duel. The friendship with Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) is definitely in danger.

New episodes of “The Mandalorian” season 3 await us every Wednesday in the stream on Disney +. This year we can also look forward to more “Star Wars” releases such as the upcoming “Ahsoka” series.
