Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård (“Dune”) confirmed in an interview that a season 2 of the new Star Wars series “Andor” will see the light of day on the Disney+ platform.
It is not the most anticipated Star Wars series by fans, but it enjoys Disney’s confidence in any case: prequel to the Rogue One film centered on the past of the rebel Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), Andor has been renewed for an additional season, even before its broadcast on Disney+!
The information was revealed by one of the interpreters of the series, Stellan Skarsgård. In an interview with our Swedish colleagues from the Dagens Nyheter site (via Collider), the actor who is preparing to shoot the Dune sequel has confirmed that a second season has been ordered, with filming scheduled for next fall. “in order to limit the waiting time between the two seasons as much as possible”.
Besides the third season of The Mandalorian and the final episode of The Book of Boba Fett, the most anticipated Star Wars series this year is undoubtedly Obi-Wan Kenobi, whose launch date may have been accidentally revealed by an employee of the platform (a broadcast in May is thus mentioned).
Renewed without an official announcement, the Star Wars Andor series does not yet have a release date on the Disney+ platform.
