Star Wars: Ubisoft’s Open World Reportedly Inspired by No Man’s Sky, Featuring a Fully Customizable Character

As you must know, if you are a lover of the license created by George Lucas, and of video games, many Star Wars titles are planned for the years to come. Very soon, we will have the right to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but in the longer term, another major game will emerge, developed by Massive, the studio behind The Division, which knows how to deal with AAA.

According to the latest rumors, emanating from Tom Henderson, the open world of this Star Wars will be very vast and explorable, similar to that of No Man’s Sky, traveling from one system to another and being able to discover many planets. The story would also be very deep, during which the character, totally customizable, will follow the desired path, whether on the side of the Force or the Dark side.

It remains to be seen what type of game we will be dealing with. Will Massive be inspired by The Division, using many mechanics? Where will we have the right to something more innovative? We’ll have to wait for the answer, but we should know a little more in the coming months, since Julian Gerighty, creative director at Ubisoft, had indicated that 2023 would be a big year for the team in charge of development. So we could have a name and potentially a first trailer.
