Star Wars: what to remember from the post-generic scene of the Book of Boba Fett?

Episode 7 of the Star Wars series “The Book of Boba Fett” ended with a post-credits scene marking the surprise return of one of its characters.

Please note, the following details the plot of the seventh episode of The Book of Boba Fett series, available on Disney+. If you haven’t seen it yet, and don’t want to know anything about its content, then you are strongly recommended to stop reading this article now!

The end of episode 6 of The Book of Boba Fett had left for dead Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant), the marshal of Freetown (formerly called Mos Pelgo). Contacted by Din Djarin to support Boba Fett in his war against the Pikes union, the latter had been shot in the middle of the street by the bounty hunter Cab Bane, a character who had already appeared in the extended Star Wars universe and who was signing his very first on this occasion. live-action appearance.

Never mind, since Vanth’s deputies still participated in the big battle of the seventh episode, while Bane was defeated in the duel between him and Boba Fett. But what was our surprise when a post-credits scene of this final episode told us that the marshal finally survived his injuries!

Plunged into Boba Fett’s bacta tank, Cobb Vanth is seen under the supervision of the mechanical surgeon, played by the singer Thundercat. It was he who saved Fennec Shand from death, but who also grafted their bionic members to the “modified” gang (made famous for their multicolored space vespas…).

By deciding to save Cobb Vanth, the producers of the Book of Boba Fett seem to confirm to us that the marshal of Freetown still has a role to play in the next Star Wars productions. Will he reappear in the third season of The Mandalorian?

Unless this is a first teaser for the Rangers of the New Republic series, in which Cara Dune was supposed to appear, before the dismissal of her interpreter Gina Carano for inappropriate remarks?

One thing is in any case certain: Cobb Vanth will not appear in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, broadcast from May 25, the action of which takes place several decades before the plot of the Book of Boba Fett.
