Originally released in 2016, Stardew Valley is available on most gaming platforms, namely PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and smartphones (iOS and Android). Developed by Éric Barone, the title invites players to manage a farm from A to Z by growing crops, fishing, exploring mines and even befriending the inhabitants of Pelican Ville, between others. Complete, Stardew Valley promises many hours of play, many of which will be attributed to sometimes tedious tasks. Luckily, a mod has arrived that should make life easier for PC gamers.
Developed by JoeStrout and EnbyMonkey, the Farmtronics mod is currently available on PC. It will allow everyone to get a Farmtronics robot, capable of performing all the actions that the player can do : using tools, watering crops, etc. A true human substitute, he is a cybernetic agricultural worker who will save you considerable time and allow you to undertake other activities, while he takes care of daily tasks. However, be aware that before obtaining the robot and recovering it from its mailbox, it will first be necessary to complete a very specific list of tasks.assigned by the Farmtronics computer available on your TV.
In addition, the robot and the computer respond to a program, which the player himself has to type on the keyboard, thanks to the coding language, MiniScript. However, don’t be afraid, learning this language is relatively simple and the mod provides a wiki on the subject. The creators of Farmtronics regularly provide information about the additions integrated into their mod, on their GitHub site.
In order to enjoy this mod, it is imperative to download the SMAPI version of Stardew Valley. This will create a new folder in the game files, called “mod SMAPI”. You can then drag in the different mods you have downloaded. However, beforehand, you must still have purchased or be in possession of the Stardew Valley game.
