Starfield and Redfall postponed! All info

Bad news for Bethesda fans who have been eagerly awaiting the release of Starfield and Redfall. The publisher officially announces that the two games have been postponed.

This is the announcement that we were not expecting. Bethesda has officially postponed the release of two of the biggest upcoming games: Starfield and Redfall. The publisher explains that the two titles will not be released until the first half of 2023! You have understood it, so you will have to take your troubles patiently, while the end of the year sees itself damn amputated. We imagine that Microsoft should not be thrilled.

No explanation came with this announcement except that the development teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) need more time. As always, the goal is to be able to release games that are better finished, and we can’t really blame the publisher for preferring to delay the release. The surprise is all the greater since Bethesda has earned a small reputation in the industry for tending to release games that are not very well finished.

The publisher points out that these two titles are extremely ambitious, and that the developers must be given time. Anyway, Starfield as Redfall should both be entitled to a nice snippet of gameplay at the next Xbox conference. Remember that the latter will be held on June 12 at 7 p.m. French time.

According to Jason Schreier, the Starfield developers were already worried about the initial release date set at 11/11/2022. According to the Bloomberg journalist, they did not see how the game could be over by then. Worse, the expression “new Cyberpunk” would have even been used, proof of the seriousness of these fears. In short, it seems that Bethesda has made the right choice.
