  • Starfield modders should receive official support in the future.
  • Todd Howard confirmed this in an interview.
  • However, what exactly this looks like is still unknown.

Starfield was only released for PC and Xbox Series X/S at the beginning of September and yet there are already various mods for the game. NexusMods now lists over 1,300 different modifications of the title.

There will be support for Starfield mods in the future. As Insider Gaming reports, Todd Howard confirmed this in an interview with Famitsu.

What exactly this support looks like is currently unknown, but modders should at least have access to the Starfield Creation Kit in 2024. It is also conceivable that the mods will no longer only be reserved for PC players, but also for Xbox Series X/S.

It is also possible, as is assumed for The Sims 5, that you can select the mods for the game directly in the game in a kind of marketplace without having to resort to sometimes dubious sources.
