The study by the travel and data experts from Holidu evaluated 15 countries in Europe that offer offers in astro tourism for their attractiveness to tourists. To measure this, the chance of auroras, the degree of light pollution and the probability of clear, cloud-free night skies were included. The location of the sites as well as existing data on light pollution and local weather conditions were also taken into account. Astro lovers can see the most exciting starry sky locations on a interactive map of the International Dark Sky Association check, which campaigns for less light pollution in parks and nature reserves, among other things.
