Unlike its satellite Internet access service, which requires an initial investment in expensive equipment, Starlink hopes to offer its functionality Direct To Cell for all cell phones. In a video published on the social network X, we see two individuals communicating via video call from their smartphones. The network used for the call would be the one provided by Starlink.

This new video echoes SpaceX’s intentions to deploy the functionality as quickly as possible Direct to Cell. If Starlink could allow many individuals to have access to the telephone network in areas not covered by terrestrial antennas (white zones), France could be left on the sidelines for the moment. No French operator currently appears to be a partner with the new Starlink service, a situation which has not changed since our last article on the subject at the start of the year.
