Earlier this year, players were able to discover Starship Troopers: Terran Command, a real-time strategy game based on the films of the franchise. But here it isOffworld Industries in turn unveils a new video game, Starship Troopers: Extermination, still inspired by Paul Verhoeven’s satirical film (itself adapted from the very first novel by Robert Heinlein).
Starship Troopers: Extermination presents itself as a cooperative first-person shooter where 12 players embodying soldiers of an elite unit will have to face hordes of giant alien insects. Three character classes will be available, Assault, Support and Defensewith a construction system to erect walls and block the assaults of Arachnidsdivided into five categories (Drone, Warrior, Gunner, Plasma Pomegranate and Tiger Elite). The difficulty will increase as you level up, but players will be able to upgrade their gear with new weapons and abilities.
Starship Troopers: Extermination is expected in 2023 on PC, it will go through a phase ofEarly Access on Steam before its final release. You can find a teaser above, images on the second page and the game Starship Troopers: Terran Command at €22.49 on Gamesplanet.
