Planned for 2022, public aid will wait until 2023
Provided for in Law No. 2020-105 of February 10, 2020 on the fight against waste and the circular economy, the public assistance fund to reduce the bill for those who wish to have their electrical appliances repaired and electronic is still not available. However, this law provided for its launch on 1er January 2022.
According to UFC-Que-Choisir, his arrival, despite almost a year late, would be on track for the year 2023, without further details, however. The extended period is due to the difficulty of the State in forming a sufficiently dense network of “QualiRépar” approved repairers.
This delay is in addition to the drop in the maximum percentage of aid received, namely 10% of the repair bill, against 20% initially, according to a decree published in the Official Journal on December 31, 2021. L’UFC-Que-Choisir specifies that a repair for this type of object is charged 129 euros on average, so the aid would not exceed 15 euros and a few per repair. Does this percentage seem to you to be enough of an incentive to encourage rebellious people to have their faulty electrical and electronic devices repaired?
