“Israel must allow more aid deliveries to Gaza and ensure that humanitarian aid workers do not get caught in the crossfire,” warned the Democrat. “Humanitarian aid must not be secondary or used as a bargaining chip. Protecting and rescuing innocent people must be a priority.”
Temporary port confirmed off Gaza Strip
Biden has also confirmed that the US wants to build a temporary port on the coast of Gaza. Large ships should be able to dock there to deliver relief goods such as food or medicine. Daily aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip should be increased, said Biden. The implementation will take a few weeks. Biden emphasized that no US soldiers were needed on site for the project.
