Statement sleeves: Guido knows how to style the fashion trend

We wore statement sleeves up and down in spring. If Guido Maria Kretschmer has his way, the trend will not disappear from the scene in autumn either. Because the star designer knows: puffy sleeves suit EVERY woman.

Big, bigger, statement sleeves: even in the cooler months of the year, we can't get past puffed sleeves. Anyone who thinks "doesn't suit me" is wrong: women who understand and fashion expert Guido Maria Kretschmer is certain that extravagant sleeves will dress every woman. The only question is how to style the trend.

Styling tips from the professional

Even tall women can wear items with accentuated arms well, it just depends on how you do it: Large sleeves that already have a lot of volume at the top are perhaps really not the best choice – especially for women with large breasts. But if you emphasize the waist with belts or knotted details and put on narrow pants, the look works again. Sometimes it also helps to tuck the blouse into the front of the trousers to show some figure again.

Designer Sue Giers and Mutti Helga know exactly how it's done and prove: With the right styling hacks, statement sleeves always look good. Style doesn't know age.

But Guido also knows: What curvy beauties can quickly become doomed in terms of style, delicate women can use for themselves:

Especially when you are very slim and have few breasts, a lot of volume makes sense. So you can hide a lot and create a completely new shape.

Influencer Leonie Hanne is blessed with true model dimensions. With the help of ultra-large puff sleeves, however, she cheats a few curves richer and, in combination with the wow color of her dress, makes a true fashion statement.

You should pay attention to this

The trend has its pitfalls. According to Guido, care must be taken when choosing the right material:

Stiff poplin stories are difficult, especially with slightly taller women. If you are not careful, everything quickly looks wide and boxy. If in doubt, it is better to use softer materials.

Fashionista Nina Schwichtenberg showed the right hand when choosing her it-piece. The soft cotton fabric of the top hugs your curves and the puffed sleeves don't stick out unsightly from the body, but still keep their shape.

But styling rules or not – in the end only one thing counts: fashion should be fun! That's why our favorite star designer advises us:

You should just be a little brave again, experiment with fashion and get involved with new trends.

For all those who are still missing an it-piece with statement sleeves, we have a shopping tip ready: On August 14th, Guido launched his new collection "GMK exclusive for ABOUT YOU", which is part of a GMK Collection and a GMK Curvy Collection each is divided into around 55 articles. This also includes stylish pieces with extravagant arms. So what are we waiting for?
