  • There will be more models for the Steam Deck in the future.
  • In a small free e-book, Valve announces new versions of the handheld.
  • So far, however, there is no more detailed information.

Matching the Steam Deck, there is now a small e-book that contains a reference to an upcoming Steam Deck 2.

On almost 52 pages, Valve explains not only the history of the handheld, but also future plans for the Steam Deck.

Under the title “The Future: more Steam Decks, more SteamOS”, the company explains that there should be new versions of the Steam Deck. There is no more information about this yet.

It’s also not clear if they could be slightly different hardware revisions, a Pro version, or a true successor. In the latter case, it could be Steam Deck 2, although we’re only tentatively choosing the name.
