The Steam Deck has a fan that is too loud and both the case and the display scratch quite quickly, as a durability test has shown.
Some time ago, iFixit announced that they were taking care of the problem of the noisy fans and now you can actually buy replacement parts for the handheld from the provider.
A total of 27 different components should soon be interchangeable, but so far you can only buy 11 of them in the iFixit store. As usual, it is stated there how complex the exchange is.

Depending on the spare parts, you can even buy kits right away. For example, you not only get the components you need, but also the right tool for the replacement.
Whether you actually have to replace the fan because of the volume is not yet entirely certain. Because Valve has released a beta update, which should at least partially reduce the volume.
