Steam Deck: price down with reconditioning certified by Valve

The hybrid war between computers and portable consoles takes placeincluding two very popular models: the expensive, but complete ROG Ally ofASUSand the more affordable, but less powerful Steam Deck from Valve. The latter is offered between €419 and €679 depending on the model, which still puts off a lot of players.

But here it is Valve now offers cheaper Steam Decks, because they have been refurbished by him. Enough to lower the price by several tens of euros while ensuring reliability and quality faithful to new models, as the manufacturer explains:

Any Certified Refurbished Steam Deck has been thoroughly tested and meets the same quality standards as any new Steam Deck intended for sale. Every device undergoes a full factory reset, software update, and thorough review that includes over 100 tests. Items evaluated include all inputs, audio system, display and internal components. The condition of the battery is also assessed to ensure proper operation and longevity.

All refurbished units meet or exceed performance standards for units sold new. While they may have minor cosmetic flaws, they provide a reliable, high-quality gaming experience at a lower cost.

  • One-year warranty, same as a new Steam Deck (warranty may be longer depending on your country of residence);
  • Refurbished power supply unit, fully tested (minor cosmetic defects possible);
  • Carrying case and quick start guide.

On the price side, it is therefore much more advantageous, here is how much are sold these refurbished Steam Decks :

  • Steam Deck 64 GB eMMC : 339 € instead of €419;
  • Steam Deck 256GB NVMe SSD : 439 € instead of €549;
  • Steam Deck 512GB NVMe SSD : 539 € instead of 679 €.
