Despite its launch at the beginning of the year, the Steam Deck has not yet arrived in all the cottages. Blame it on very limited stocks and rather slow production. Fortunately, things will soon pick up speed.
The Steam Deck reservation system can be frustrating. Indeed, Valve’s hybrid console can only be purchased online, and the delays to obtain it are rather long. However, the American firm is working hard to validate reservations, and a bright spot seems to be on the horizon in this area.
Faster service at last
Thus, Valve published this week a very encouraging press release on its site. In particular, we learn that ” the rate of response to reservations was accelerated and production increased at the same time. So much so that all pre-orders made for the third quarter of 2022 (from July to September) have been honored.
Valve will therefore get ahead of reservations for the fourth quarter of 2022. A first group of e-mails (email that allows you to order the console) will be sent this week to people who have pre-ordered their Steam Deck for the end of the year. So consoles due for delivery between September and December will start arriving very soon. That’s a good news !
