PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch… All players in the video game market are offering their retrospective – a model modeled on Apple Music, Spotify and Deezer to obtain an assessment of its year 2023. It is now Valve’s turn to do so the same for Steam. We remind you that the company launched a new Steam Deck OLED a few weeks ago.
Steam is one of the most popular platforms. It brings together millions of players every day on thousands and thousands of titles. Last March, it broke its attendance record with 33,598,520 people connected at the same time (source: SteamDB). The traffic curve only increases, year after year.

An ultra-complete retrospective for Steam
“ Your 2023 retrospective is ready » can be seen by going to the Steam page. Then simply click on this link and enter, if necessary, your identifiers to obtain your statistics since January. Valve offers a very, very complete retrospective.
Steam’s 2023 retrospective provides :
- The number of games launched;
- The number of new games launched;
- The number of achievements unlocked;
- Statistics on the type of games (keyboard/mouse and controller);
- Data from the most played games (percentage of playing time, number of sessions).
Valve also offers more precise data, such as the number of contacts added, the number of screenshots shared, the number of reviews written or even the number of games offered. There are even comparisons with other members of the community. For example, the Steam average for the number of games played is 4 — which is quite a few in the end.
Finally, if you own a Steam Deck, you will have access to your usage habits and its importance in your total playing time. The opportunity to see to what extent Valve’s portable console has changed – or not – the way you play.
