Playing Steam games in your Tesla?
It was on Twitter that the boss of Tesla and SpaceX made his announcement:
We are making progress with the Steam integration. Demonstration probably next month.
It is already possible to use several video games, but for the moment these are small games that necessarily have less impact on the mind than the huge Steam catalog. The main use of the Tesla as a gaming station is obviously to be found on the charging side. Since it is at this precise moment that one must somehow pass the time. Note that the Tesla Model S and Model X have an AMD Ryzen processor.
All this remains to be taken with a grain of salt because Elon Musk had already mentioned the fact of being able to play “very soon” big games like Cyberpunk 2077 (excluding Steam) which is still not the case despite the announcement effects and public demonstrations.
The other problem that arises (especially in the USA) is that it is now possible to play games when a Tesla is driving. Only an alert message will ask you if it is indeed the passenger or not. This had the gift of angering American road safety associations.
In short, playing DOOM via Steam while driving to make a Paris-Marseille, it is clearly not for now.
