The start of the 2022 school year is one of renewal for gaming headsets from the Danish SteelSeries with a complete overhaul of the Arctis range.

Last June, SteelSeries launched its new “collection” of headsets for gamers with the release of the most ambitious, the excellent Arctis Nova Pro. Logically, the range is now available in three new models.

Arctis Nova 7: revamping a bestseller

At the heart of the announcement made by SteelSeries is of course the Arctis Nova 7 which replaces the Danish best seller, the Arctis 7. For this, the manufacturer integrates the Nova Acoustic System, a “ high-fidelity audio system, powered by the Sonar Audio software suite and offering 360° spatial sound “.

Like the Nova Pro, the Arctis Nova 7 can be used wired, but also 2.4 GHz RF and Bluetooth. Better, it also integrates simultaneous audio which allows you to listen to two streams at the same time and is compatible with many platforms.

SteelSeries relies on ClearCast Gen 2 for noise cancellation and combines it with a bi-directional mic and Sonar software to “ Silence background noise, eliminating keystrokes and button presses “.

Cordless, the Arctis Nova 7 has a battery that provides 38 hours of battery life and fast charging that provides an additional 6 hours after a 15-minute charge. Three versions of the Nova 7 are planned: PC, PlayStation and Xbox.

Arctis Nova 1 and Nova 3, two additional versions

Three versions supplemented by two slightly more accessible versions, the Arctis Nova 1 and Arctis Nova 3. They both have the Comfort Max system – also on the Nova 7 – offering four points of adjustment to guarantee a certain ease even over long sessions .

The Arctis Nova 3 differs from its little brother by the presence of LEDs through PrismSync RGB technology, the effects of which can be adjusted thanks to the 16.8 million colors available. The Nova 3 adopts USB connectivity and works on Mac, PC, PlayStation and Switch or iPad and mobile.

For its part, the Arctis Nova 1 remains faithful to the good old 3.5 mm jack which allows it to be connected indifferently to PC, PlayStation, Switch, Xbox or mobile. It is the lightest of the range and adopts memory foam pads. Black or white versions and specific PC, PlayStation and Xbox models are available.
