Stefan Effenberg: After Franz Beckenbauer’s death, he bursts into tears on live TV

The death of Franz Beckenbauer, †78, touched an entire nation. Ex-soccer player Stefan Effenberg, 55, is particularly touched by Sunday’s loss: As a TV expert, he is available for the live recording of Sport1’s “Doppelpass” program. In this role he is supposed to say a few sentences about the late Franz Beckenbauer. But Effenberg is overwhelmed by emotions as soon as he remembers the dead “Emperor”: “He was a great person…” Effenberg can just begin – then he starts to cry and withdraws from the group.

Effenberg went behind the “double pass” scenes with tears in his eyes, RTL reports. While Franz Beckenbauer is featured in the program, Effenberg remains missing. He only returns to the TV cameras after a few minutes and is greeted with applause. “Nobody has to be embarrassed about their emotion,” reassures moderator Florian König.

Matthias Reim: Wife Christin remembers one of the darkest hours

The year 2015 turned out to be a fateful year for Matthias Reim, 66: while the singer was on tour, he suddenly became seriously ill. His wife Christin Stark, 34, now remembers this in the ARD documentary “Matthias Reim – My Life is Rock’n’Roll”. “Within days he just lost more and more weight, he became incredibly thin. […] That was dramatic,” Christin is quoted by “Bunte”. “That was a tough act,” Matthias Reim himself has to admit in view of these memories.

After he “more or less crawled to the hospital,” he was diagnosed with severe myocarditis. He had to stay in the hospital for five months and the doctors had to tell his wife Christin that Reim’s heart was only performing at 20 percent capacity. What gave him hope was the will to be able to go about his everyday life again. “He got up […] and said: I want to live. I want to live with my wife, I want to live with my children and I want to make music with my fans. I’ll get back up and fight for it.”

The documentary will air on January 13, 2024 at 11:40 p.m. on Erste.

Alessandra Meyer-Wölden does it like Oliver Pocher: First insights from the “Dream Ship” set

Off to the next adventure: Alessandra Meyer-Wölden will soon be seen on TV – in no less a series than the ZDF “Dream Ship”. The ex-wife and current podcast partner of Oliver Pocher, 45, reveals this with several videos and photos on Instagram. Pocher himself was also recently seen in an episode of “Dream Ship”. When this was filmed, he and Amira Pocher were still a couple – when it was broadcast on January 1, 2024, things looked completely different. Like Amira and Annemarie Carpendale, 46, Alessandra Meyer-Wölden is now also on board the “dream ship”. And this is the third Pocher ex who is allowed to sail along.

In addition to Meyer-Wölden, influencer Joyce Ilg, 40, is also part of the lake party. This is shown by several stories that both women regularly share on their accounts. After the first reading samples, Alessandra and Joyce were allowed to act in front of the cameras. “What an experience,” writes Meyer-Wölden about one of her numerous videos. Another photo shows her wet and wrapped in a gray towel. With a broad grin, Alessandra looks over the shoulder of a “dream ship” employee. “Behind the scenes,” it says on a small sticker. Filming is currently taking place in Argentina. It is still unclear when the episode will be broadcast.

Not like that, Mr. Gottschalk! Bill and Tom Kaulitz, both 34, defend themselves against the blasphemy of the ex-“Wetten, dass…?” presenter – and not too briefly. In her podcast “Kaulitz Hills – Mustard from Hollywood” Tom begins the Gottschalk case with malicious jokes directed at TV seniors: “Thomas Gottschalk uses a new medium like a podcast? I can’t even imagine that! He’s always so upset on the new ways of communication.” Thomas Gottschalk, 73, had previously mocked the Kaulitz twins as “adoptive sons of Heidi Klum” and announced that ZDF would not speak to the two about a “Wetten, dass…?” successor.

Gottschalk had, among other things, accused the twins of only reading from the prompter on TV. Bill has only one ironic comment for this assumption: “We only went to school until the eighth grade – how are we supposed to read from the prompter?” But that’s not all: “You didn’t invent the show!”, the Tokio Hotel singer continues to tease Gottschalk, according to “NTV”, “You’re a presenter, ZDF hired you to moderate this show. That’s not the case your shipment, you have nothing to report about it.”

Only time will tell whether Gottschalk himself will accept these taunts or whether he will have to counter back in his usual manner. And perhaps it will be clear by then who will be the new moderator of “Wetten, dass…?” will – or the new moderators.

Cora Schumacher: She hopes to hear from her son David

At the end of October last year, Cora Schumacher, 47, revealed to RTL in a trembling voice that her son David, 22, no longer wanted any contact with her. “To be honest, I don’t know why exactly,” she said. Now the ex-wife of Ralf Schumacher, 48, – who also broke off contact with her last year – is on her way to Australia as she takes part in this year’s season of “I’m a Star – Get Me Out of Here”. . Shortly before her departure, RTL reporters show the former racing driver at the airport the current video of her ex-husband in which he wishes Cora good luck for the jungle camp and assures him that he will watch the consequences.

These words come as a surprise to Cora after the long radio silence. “I would probably have been a little more happy about it if it had been in person,” she tells the broadcaster and adds with concern: “Of course I would be most happy about a message or contact from my son. But let’s wait and see.” Cora Schumacher seems to be hoping to receive a message from her child at the camp fire. This worked for Djamila Rowe, 56, last year: She received a letter from her estranged son in the jungle.

Spotted: Kylie Jenner + Timotheé Chalamet kissing at the 2024 Golden Globes

In April 2023, romance rumors about “The Kardashians” star Kylie Jenner, 26, and actor Timotheé Chalamet, 28, first emerged. The lovebirds did not comment on the suspicions at the time, but were then spotted smooching during Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour in September 2023. At the Golden Globes 2024 they openly show how in love they are with each other.

Chalamet and Jenner were spotted holding hands as they made their way to their seats at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Variety’s co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh shared a snapshot of the couple in an X-Post (formerly Twitter) during a commercial break. “He’s very supportive of her career and she’s very supportive of his,” an insider tells People Magazine. The 26-year-old and the actor seem very familiar and ignore the other visitors in their conversation. While the Kardashian sister concentrates fully on her loved one, she lovingly straightens his suit collar. The star duo has not yet commented publicly on their relationship, but the pictures from the Golden Globes make it abundantly clear that the two can’t keep their hands off each other.
