Stefan Mross lost two family members a week ago. A friend went to her house in Salzburg and killed her with a gun.
A week after the aunt and cousin of Stefan Mross, 45, were shot, the Schlager star reported personally for the first time on Instagram about the terrible incident.

In the night from Wednesday to Thursday (May 5), the man, who turned out to be the ex-boyfriend of Mross’ cousin, lay in wait for the two women shortly before midnight at their single-family home in the municipality of Wals-Siezenheim near Salzburg. After an argument, he drew his handgun and shot it from close range, first at the 76-year-old woman, then at his 50-year-old ex-girlfriend. Both died on site, the police officers found the bodies in the entrance area of the house. After the perpetrator fled, he turned himself in to a special squad hours later after a manhunt.

Understandably, Mross did not want to comment after the fact. Instead, his mother Stefanie Mross, 80, confirmed a few days later that the victims were actually her sister and niece and described their feelings in “Bild”: “We are all infinitely sad and devastated I still called my sister on the day of her death. We had talked so fondly. I said to her: ‘Take care of yourself.’ My niece was also very nice. We have always been a good family. “

A few hours ago, Stefan Mross posted a statement on Instagram in which he thanked his fans and friends: “I would like to thank you very much for your sympathy. My most important people give me and us a lot of strength … But my heartfelt Thanks to you.” One of these most important people is his wife Anna-Carina Woitschack, 28, who stands by him during this difficult time. Finally, Mross quoted a well-known mourning saying: “Memories are small stars that shine comfortingly in the darkness of our grief.”
