Steffen Henssler: He has to stop the "Grill den Henssler" shooting

Steffen Henssler had to leave the studio in pain while recording the third episode of the "Grill den Henssler" autumn season.

Steffen Henssler (47) had to stop the "Grill den Henssler" shoot (VOX) in Cologne shortly before the end because the pain was too great. According to RTL, the star chef "injured himself playing sports in the morning before the third episode of the 'Grill den Henssler' autumn season was recorded". During the dessert round, he finally left the show to receive medical care.

Detlef Steves steps in

And how did the show end? Reality TV star Detlef Steves (51) stepped in for Henssler after he learned of the mishap. Henssler coached and made him his extended arm. "I was very relaxed," said Steves in an interview with the broadcaster. "Because here in the kitchen I have to follow the boss's instructions. And then I have to be calm. Then I can't be who I am. I have to focus," he said, referring to his famous – notorious choleric outbursts.

Even with the recording originally planned for today Friday, Henssler cannot compete again because of the sports injury. As RTL further reports, this shoot can be rescheduled on Monday (September 14th). In general, filming will probably continue on Saturday.

The new episodes of "Grill den Henssler" are currently being recorded. It is not yet known when they will be seen.
