Stellantis announced on Wednesday an investment of 5.6 billion euros in South America between 2025 and 2030, which it described as the largest in the automotive sector in the region.
“This announcement reinforces our confidence and commitment to the future of the South American automotive industry, and constitutes a response to the favorable commercial context that prevails there,” Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares said in a statement.
The automaker said the investment would support more than 40 new products, the development and production of decarbonization technologies, as well as new business opportunities.
