Stellantis: geothermal energy with Vulcan


(CercleFinance.com) – Stellantis and Vulcan announce the launch of a joint project to develop renewable geothermal energy to supply the Mulhouse site where the DS 7, the Peugeot 308 and e-308, 508 and the new 408.

This project could contribute to meeting a significant part of the site’s annual energy needs from 2026.

This is the first project in France between Vulcan and Stellantis for the potential use of geothermal energy to decarbonise industrial activities, but also to localize energy supply for Stellantis’ European operations.

‘Geothermal energy is one of the many solutions we are exploring to achieve our goal of carbon neutrality by 2038, in line with our Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan.’ said Arnaud Deboeuf, Industrial Director of Stellantis.
