Stellantis: massive debt raising by ACC


(CercleFinance.com) – ACC (Automotive Cells Company), the electric vehicle battery joint venture of Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz and Saft (a subsidiary of TotalEnergies), announces the closing of a €4.4 billion debt raise euros, guaranteed by a consortium of commercial banks.

This debt raising, one of the largest ever carried out in Europe in the sector, strengthens the financing of the construction of three lithium-ion battery cell gigafactories in France, Germany and Italy, as well as the R&D of the society.

The three ACC shareholders also confirm their participation in an upcoming capital injection: by the end of March 2024 and with this operation, Stellantis will hold 45% of ACC shares, Mercedes-Benz 30% and Saft 25%. .
