Stellantis: negotiates a majority stake in 2L Logistics

(Boursier.com) — Stellantis entered into exclusive negotiations with 2L Logistics with a view to acquiring a majority stake in the automotive transport and logistics services group in France. Due to the numerous challenges linked to the Covid 19 pandemic, the semiconductor crisis and the evolution of the global geopolitical situation, the transport and logistics sector has been strongly impacted and has evolved significantly in recent years . The merger between Stellantis and 2L Logistics will create a competitive partnership. This partnership will provide Stellantis with additional capacity and flexibility to improve customer satisfaction. It will allow the 2L Logistics Group to continue its development, while continuing to serve its current historical customers.

The planned transaction remains subject to the usual conditions for this type of transaction, in particular information and consultation of works councils and obtaining the necessary regulatory authorizations. The transaction should be finalized by the end of the first quarter of 2024. No financial details have been disclosed.
