(Boursier.com) — Stellantis through its Business Unit ‘Charging & Energy’, and Electra announce a pilot project to offer a public fast charging experience to customers of Stellantis electric models in France.

This cooperation – the first of its kind between Electra and a car manufacturer – will provide an opportunity in urban areas and city centers for simple, reliable and affordable public charging through the Electra network. Thanks to Electra’s experience and network, Stellantis will be able to test the fast charging ecosystem with its customers and offer them dedicated commercial conditions.

This cooperation between Stellantis and Electra is an important step to help customers equip themselves with electric vehicles, which will also contribute to the objectives of Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, to reach 100% of sales of battery electric vehicles ( BEV) for passenger cars in Europe and 50% of BEV sales for passenger cars and pickups in the United States by 2030.

Electra is a French player in the public fast charging of electric vehicles, which has more than 430 fast charging points in France and in several other European countries. The company quickly became the leading French ‘pure player’ in its sector. Electra offers a smooth and intuitive user experience via connected charging stations and an optimized mobile application. Electric vehicle owners can book their charging point remotely in seconds, choose the charging time and pay automatically through the app at a competitive rate. Its stations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and accessible to everyone.
