Stellantis: three out of five unions sign to increase payroll by 5.3%


Stellantis’ FO, CFTC and CFE-CGC unions have signed an agreement with management validating a 5.3% increase in payroll for 2023, stakeholders said on Monday. The signatory unions represent 62.4% of French employees, according to the manufacturer. After numerous walkouts in the fall on the French sites, to request purchasing power support measures, the management of Stellantis had put this proposal on the table during the mandatory annual negotiations (NAO) which ended late overnight from Thursday to Friday.

The agreement provides, for example, for a revaluation of bonuses from 5 to 10%, with an increase in the teleworking bonus to 15 euros and the creation of a bonus “team leaderof 50 euros. A “review clausemust, however, allow the signatories of the salary agreement tomeet in June 2023 to review the situation and propose possible remedial measures“, specified the CFE-CGC.

The CFDT and the CGT refused the agreement

For the HRD of Stellantis France, Bruno Bertin, “this majority signature demonstrates the maturity of social dialogue within Stellantis and the desire to strike a balance between the promotion of employee commitment and the preservation of the company’s performance“.

CFDT and CGT said they refused to sign the agreement, which does not require majority approval. The overall increase budget to 5.3% “will still leave many Stellantis employees losing purchasing power in 2023. We are far from compensating for inflation at 6.3%“, said the CFDT in a press release.
