We had an appointment this Wednesday evening for a new State of Play which clearly did not disappoint and two announcements of which had been made official in advance by Sony. One of them was the presence of Stellar BladeA Action RPG developed by the South Korean studio Shift Up. His revelation dates back to 2020 when he was then known as Project EVE, before being announced on PS5 the following year. Strongly reminiscent NieR: Automata And Devil May Cry from certain aspects, he had not been talked about again since the presentation of September 2022, where we discovered his final title and the fact that it would be exclusive to the console of Sonyif not last December to signify its logical postponement to this year 2024. EVE’s journey
Stellar Blade follows the adventures of EVE, a warrior from an orbital colony who descends to earth to defeat the Naytibas, enemies of humanity who have suddenly invaded the entire planet. These creatures appear to attack humans on the orders of higher entities, the Alpha Naytiba and the Ancestral Naytiba, but no one knows their true origin.
EVE lands on a desolate world and meets Adam, a survivor marooned on Earth, and Lily, a member of a previous airborne squadron. These three protagonists then decide to join forces to fight against the Naytibas. During her journey, EVE and her companions will have to collaborate with the survivors gathered in the last bastion of humanity, Xion.
The world of Stellar Blade
Xion is connected to a semi-open region consisting of the “Wastlands” and the “Great Desert”, which hold many secrets. During your journey, you will meet many individuals, and you will explore vast areas to complete missions while helping the citizens of Xion. One of these missions involves retrieving Hyper Cells, a crucial energy source for Xion. These cells are scattered all over the region, but EVE intends to bring them together to restore Xion to all its former splendor. This objective will then allow him to meet new people.
Throughout his adventures, you will collect items such as exospins or equipment, and you will earn PC EXP which will allow you to unlock powerful skills. You will also obtain various cosmetic items, such as outfits, accessories and haircuts.
Furthermore, the exploration phases will allow you to discover a wide variety of music. You will hear soothing camp melodies and moving symphonies in the ruined cities. Almost every song in the game includes vocals and backing vocals meant to immerse you in the world of Stellar Blade.
Stellar Blade takes full advantage of the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to increase immersion.
