Stéphane Albouy appointed director of the Journal du Dimanche

The former managing editor of Parisian will take office on May 14.

New movement within Sunday newspaper. The Lagardère News group announced on Tuesday May 3 the appointment of Stéphane Albouy as managing director of the editorial staff of the weekly. He will report to Jérôme Béglé, the managing editor who succeeded Hervé Gattegno in January 2022.

Stéphane Albouy held the reins of Parisian-Today in France from 2015 to 2020, before taking the position of editorial advisor in a production company. He will take office on May 14.

The journalist succeeds Cyril Petit, whose departure was announced with a bang at the end of March. “Cyril Petit announced his departure at an editorial conference this morning. He was in tears and gave no explanation“, related at the time the Agence France Presse.

We would like to warmly thank Cyril Petit for his involvement for more than 11 years in the Sunday newspaper and for his precious contribution in particular in the digital development of the title“, explain Constance Benqué and Jérôme Béglé in a press release.

For several months the title has been upset by regular departures and replacements. Changes that coincide with the announcement of the acquisition of Lagardère News by the Vivendi group of Vincent Bolloré.
