PARIS, May 24 (Reuters) – US investment bank Perella Weinberg Partners announced on Tuesday the arrival of the former CEO of Orange as a partner in its Paris office from June 1.

“Stéphane Richard will carry out his consulting activity on operations in all sectors, national and international in scope within this office”, indicates the investment bank in a press release.

Stéphane Richard submitted his resignation from his position as Chairman and CEO of Orange at the end of last year after his conviction on appeal in the arbitration case between Bernard Tapie and Crédit Lyonnais.

To succeed him at the head of the telecoms operator, Christel Heydemann has been appointed general manager while Jacques Aschenbroich has been appointed non-executive chairman.

Perella Weinberg Partners has approximately 600 associates worldwide, with offices in New York, Houston, London, Calgary, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Paris, Munich and San Francisco. (Written by Matthieu Protard, edited by Kate Entringer)
